The Open Virtualization Alliance (OVA) is a Linux Foundation Collaborative Project. The consortium is committed to foster the adoption of free and open-source software virtualization solutions including KVM, but also software to manage such, e.g. oVirt. The consortium promotes examples of customer successes, encourages interoperability and accelerates the expansion of the ecosystem of third party solutions around KVM. The OVA provides education, best practices and technical advice to help businesses understand and evaluate their virtualization options. The consortium complements the existing open source communities managing the development of the KVM hypervisor and associated management capabilities, which are rapidly driving technology innovations for customers virtualizing both Linux and Windows® applications. The OVA is not a formal standards body and does not influence upstream development, but encourages interoperability and the development of common interfaces and application programming interfaces (APIs) to ease the adoption of KVM for users. On , it was announced that the Open Virtualization Alliance will become a Linux Foundation Collaborative Project.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=The Linux Foundation Announces Open Virtualization Alliance as Newest Collaborative Project )〕 ==Software promoted by OVA== * Kernel-based Virtual Machine (KVM) – software that turns the Linux kernel into a hypervisor * libvirt – API and its implementation to manage KVM and other virtualization solutions * OVirt – web application for managing KVM * libguestfs – API and its implementation for modifying virtual disk images 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「Open Virtualization Alliance」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
